hello! I'm Makenzie!
I'm a wedding photographer and stationary designer in Western Kentucky. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog! This is where you can see my latest shoots & weddings, get some advice, or see what it's like behind the scenes! I hope you stay awhile.
David & Laura have been planning this wedding all year and they chose to celebrate on her grandma’s birthday. They tied in so many special and personal things into their day, from his great grandmother’s engagement ring and band to her family’s jewish traditions and heirlooms. They also had a large canvas map as their “guest book” and ask people to sign their name near places they had traveled or places the newlyweds should visit.
Although it was December, it was in the 60’s, so all outdoor photos were so pleasant! We went to Murray State’s campus for their bride & groom and wedding party portraits and the christmas decor at Pogue was a nice touch! Their day ran smooth and their smiles were non stop! Just look how how cute these two are!
I love those sweet moments with mom after the bride is dressed!
Look at those faces when her girls saw her!
And look at David’s SMILE when HE saw her!
Laura, you are beautiful!
My first glass smashing ceremony! David was so nervous it wouldn’t break under his foot, but he was successful and Laura was SO proud!
While all the guests moved to the reception, we stepped outside for a few “Just Married” photos under some awesome yellow trees!
It was Laura’s granma’s birthday, so they sang to her!
