hello! I'm Makenzie!
I'm a wedding photographer and stationery designer in Western Kentucky. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog! This is where you can see my latest shoots & weddings, get some advice, or see what it's like behind the scenes! I hope you stay awhile.
I first heard from Claire about an engagement session after she saw a wedding I had shot of a good friend. She began the wedding planning process after Adam proposed, and together they decided it was just too much and they were going to just plan an elopement. While preparing for their engagement session, she asked if I happened to have their date open. They had finally landed on a small, intimate family wedding. That’s just what they had! They found a cute country church in Hardin and had a small dinner reception on the second level of Shandie’s in downtown Paducah.
They chose not to see one another before the ceremony, so I showed up just in time to do Claire’s bridal details and get her dressed. The doors opened for the ceremony and Adam smiled from ear to ear (and maybe even teared up a little) when Claire walked down the aisle. Following the ceremony and family photos, we went downtown near Shandie’s for photos with their small wedding party and finished with bride and groom portraits! Claire didn’t feel the need for actual reception pictures, but she did do most of the decor, so she wanted it documented! Enjoy some of my favorites from their special day!
Look at this cute ring bearer!
