California–Part 2–San Francisco

Earlier this week, I posted Part 1 of our California trip. As much as we enjoyed Napa…we fell in love with San Francisco. We have traveled to a lot of America’s big cities and San Fran topped the list. It is such a FUN city…even if the hills gave me sore calves for dayyyyys.

We visited the Painted Ladies, Lombard street, Fisherman’s Warf, Coit Tower, plus we did a boat ride to see Golden Gate up close. We also drove over Golden Gate Bridge and headed to Muir Beach and Muir Look Out and then ended the day with sunset photos overlooking the ocean and Golden Gate! We did a lot in one day and it was so much fun!

We started out at the Painted Ladies from the famous Full House intro. Unfortunately, the park across the street was closed, so we didn’t get to sit out on a blanket and have a picnic with them in the background 😉 But we did spend time talking about which one we would want to live in!

I loved the purple one and the green one!

We walked all the way down Lombard street, then back up! Whew! What a work out! The houses were so cool too!

Once we reached the top, Brett decided he wanted to drive it. LOVED the view as we drove down!

Bertt loves boats and history. But we didn’t want to pay the money to tour them haha!

We had the perfect day for the boat tour! It was really cool to get up close to Golden Gate Bridge and see a closer view of Alcatraz. We didn’t realize we had to buy tickets for Alcatraz way in advance, so this is as close as we could get. Womp Womp.

Driving over Golden Gate!

Muir beach was beautiful! But so cold!

The ocean was in front of us and this view was behind us!

Then we went to Muir Look Out, where we got to see Whales! The locals came out to see them and said it was extremely rare!
