hello! I'm Makenzie!
I'm a wedding photographer and stationery designer in Western Kentucky. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog! This is where you can see my latest shoots & weddings, get some advice, or see what it's like behind the scenes! I hope you stay awhile.
Adam & Claire met in college at Georgetown and began dating. The lived in Lexington where they fell in love and were surrounded by friends and near Claire’s family. After graduation, Adam got a job across the state in the small town of Benton. Claire knew it would be difficult to find a job in her field, but she moved with Adam to the foreign small town anyway. That’s true love! Not too long after the move, Adam proposed so the move was totally worth it!
Back in the spring, they attended a wedding of a good friend that I was shooting. After they saw her wedding blog, Claire emailed me about doing their engagement photos. Since they were new to the area, finding shooting locations was a challenge. We landed on two great spots, but when the time came, the heat was so bad we decided to postpone. When it came closer to their new date, Claire emailed me with a new location idea and it was perfect! Adam’s grandma has passed away during the summer and he decided he wanted to shoot on his grandparent’s farm where he grew up visiting in the summer and playing with his cousins. What better way to honor his grandma than taking photos with the love of his life on their property!
Enjoy some of my favorites from their session!
