hello! I'm Makenzie!
I'm a wedding photographer and stationary designer in Western Kentucky. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog! This is where you can see my latest shoots & weddings, get some advice, or see what it's like behind the scenes! I hope you stay awhile.
The rain forecast didn’t look good during the week. But the closer it got to Haley & Garrett’s big day, the better it was. We woke up to pretty gloomy weather…but it didn’t rain! Sometimes an overcast day makes those fall colors pop more and that’s just what happened! The fall leaves were at their peak and we had an awesome amount in the trees AND on the ground!
Their reception venue made the perfect place to get ready and do all pre-ceremony pictures. After the First Look, we drove the park side and found a great place to shoot under a tree. Then the lady bugs came out…and I’ve NEVER seen so many lady bugs in my life! They swarmed all of us! It’s a good thing they can’t do any harm! After photos were complete, we went 10 minutes down the road to the church that all of Garrett’s family has grown up in…all the way back to his grandparents! Haley made a beautiful 25 foot long backdrop and it was impressive! After the ceremony everyone headed back to the park for a fun reception! It was truly a good day! I hope you enjoy some of my faves!
Before going to see Garrett, she did a first look with her dad!
Then she went to see her man!
These guys were SERIOUS about catching that garter!
