hello! I'm Makenzie!
I'm a wedding photographer and stationery designer in Western Kentucky. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog! This is where you can see my latest shoots & weddings, get some advice, or see what it's like behind the scenes! I hope you stay awhile.
Lauren had a vision for their big day and her mom helped her bring it to life! Together, the two of them got really creative. She is a Disney fan and both her and Jordan are book lovers so she wanted to tie that in to her winter wedding. They made all the centerpieces, which was different on every table, each one showcasing a Disney or favorite book scene. Her mom made all the florals, all the food, and coordinated most of the day! She was superwoman!
It was pretty cold outside but Jordan and Lauren braved the chill for outdoor photos! After their first look, we crammed (literally) Lauren and her dress into the car and drove down the driveway for some woodsy pictures. I kept thanking them for trusting me and told them it would be worth it. I think it totally was! They are a very relaxed couple. Jordan’s laugh is constant and contagious and Lauren’s big smile can light up the room. It was so sweet watching them interact with each other and their friends and family. You can tell they are loved and well respected by everyone around them. Enjoy some of my favorites from their winter wedding!
While trying to get her shoes on, Lauren said, “I don’t think Cinderella had this much trouble putting her shoes on!”
I don’t think Lauren intended wearing this coat for pictures, but when she put it on, I thought it was too cute not to get a few wearing it!
Instead of walking down the aisle, the flower girls dropped snowflakes and Micky Mouse ears from the balcony when Lauren and her dad came out. So cute!
Mr. & Mrs. MAY!
Once it was dark, we snuck away for some night shots. Although it was cold, I love the cozy, winter look!
They played the Shoe Game, but instead of holding up their shoes, they held up Mickey & Minnie.
These flower girls had the time of their lives on the dance floor!
