hello! I'm Makenzie!
I'm a wedding photographer and stationery designer in Western Kentucky. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog! This is where you can see my latest shoots & weddings, get some advice, or see what it's like behind the scenes! I hope you stay awhile.
As Megg and I drove into Owensboro, the sky suddenly turned VERY dark. We arrived at Cortney’s house just before the rain started. Her house was buzzing with all her girls and they welcomed us in immediately! Our original plan was to do all the pre-ceremony photos at the Botanical Gardens but Cortney had also told me about her next door neighbor’s awesome side yard. So, before the rain hit too hard, Megg and I ran next door to check it out. I fell in LOVE with his yard and historical home. Cortney loved it too and had gotten permission to shoot there as a back up plan, so we made last minute changes and I’m so glad we did! The storm passed on through and was gone by the time Will arrived for the First Look.
Their day ran so smooth and their large wedding party was so fun to work with too! The first look involved a few happy tears and the first look with her dad was so sweet! Cortney and Will love the people in their lives and it was obvious by the excitement everyone shared that day. A lot of guests filled the pews for the ceremony, which is another way I can tell they are loved and supported.
Will & Cortney–thank you for letting me spend the day with you! I hope you’re enjoying Mexico!
We caught them peeking for the First Look!
Look at this great wedding party!
